Stepping Forward - My First Guest Post

Today, my very first guest blog post has been published! I was asked to write about my story as the mother of a visually impaired child for The Center for The Visually Impaired's (CVI) Sightseeing Blog.

CVI has been my number one resource for providing education for the J-Rex and our whole family since she was 2 years old and enrolled in their preschool readiness program, BEGIN. Nowadays, the J-Rex attends their school-age afterschool program that focuses on the Expanded Core Curriculum and continues to provide her with confidence and a community of kids with similar visual struggles to her own.

So, obviously, when CVI asked me to tell my story for their blog, I was incredibly excited to do so. Not only was this my first guest blog post (a small but important step for any blogger wanting to make herself known) but it was for an organization I owe so much to and about a subject I am intimately passionate about!  ...and just in time for Mother's Day weekend, I am happy to share my story with you:
