A Bounty of Butterflies

Today, we smelled a breeze filled with the scents of flowers, visited a tent of butterflies and laughed as they landed on our heads, hands, and feet, and picnicked in the shade.

The J-Rex performed the Butterfly Life Cycle for us in a wooded amphitheatre, transformed into a butterfly and emerged from a chrysalis, and played at migration.

We visited the library on the way home, turning in our summer reading list (62 books!) and receiving high praise from the librarian for the J-Rex's interest and effort in reading this summer.

As I felt our day unfold like a butterfly's wings as it emerges from its chrysalis, I felt the power of our family's transformation over the last few months: We are all working toward new goals with a vigor like none we've had before...becoming stronger as a family by becoming stronger in ourselves...and, sure enough, we are growing our wings...
